Dil Kayas
Photographer
Dil Kayas was born in 1993 in Maungdaw, Myanmar. In August 2017, she fled to Bangladesh with her family due to the violence of the Myanmar army. She became a Fortify Rights and Doha Debates media fellow in 2018, which allowed her to develop her storytelling skills. Since 2018, she has been framing the life of the Rohingya people in the refugee camps with her mobile phone. From their daily life, to the hardship they faced during the pandemic, each one of her photos tells us a story of the Rohingya people. She is the co-author of A Chance To Breathe, a photobook published by Fortify Rights and PhotoEvidence.
